The Lowdown on Sleep Coaching

Hello there! Since you’re visiting this page, I assume you’re interested in learning more about what a sleep coach (also known as a sleep consultant) can do for you.

I'll assume that you're a busy person and want to learn quickly, so this page will cover the highlights about sleep coaching. For much more information, feel free to browse the entire Sleepably website.

What is a Sleep Coach?

A sleep coach is someone who has specific training, knowledge and certification to help either adults or children overcome sleep challenges. Sleep coaches help clients with a structured process that includes:

  1. Gathering enough information to obtain a clear picture of how the person is currently sleeping.
  2. Using that information to create a personalized sleep plan based on sleep science and proven wellness practices.
  3. Motivating clients and holding them accountable while implementing the sleep plan.
  4. Making adjustments throughout the consultation to ensure the client stays on the right track.
  5. Providing clients with the knowledge and tools to maintain their progress after the consultation has ended.

You can watch the following 4-minute video to learn more about sleep coaching.

Why Might I Need a Sleep Coach?

People enlist the help of sleep coaches for many reasons, but these are some of the most common:

  • You (or your child) has endured sleep deprivation for months or years, and you're finally ready to make a healthy change.
  • You're often fatigued at work and have noticed it affecting your productivity, mood, job satisfaction, motivation and more.
  • Tiredness is affecting you in your personal life. Maybe it's less patience with your children, a worsened mood around your partner, or even reduced desire for intimacy.
  • Sleep deprivation is affecting your health, whether it's leaving you less energy to exercise or leading you to eat unhealthy foods.
  • You have tried to manage your sleep with medication, and you're ready to try a healthier approach.

If any of those reasons sound familiar, or you have other reasons for wanting better sleep, you're a prime candidate for working with a sleep coach! Click on any of the icons below to learn more about how we can help.

I was having trouble sleeping comfortably. I was having night sweats and was tossing and turning a lot, which resulted in tired days. It was affecting my ability to work, exercise, and relax. With sleep coaching, I was able to achieve sound sleep! ... I am less stressed, motivated, and am happier.

I can function now as a mom of three young babies 3 and under. My husband can finally sleep in the room again and my household in general just runs so much smoother. My baby seems happier and more rested, too.
